SpongeBob SquarePants is a ten-year-old boy who spends his summer at Kamp Koral, a sleepaway camp. Mr Krabs, a single parent raising his young daughter Pearl, runs the camp. Mrs Puff, the camp’s scoutmaster and arts-and-crafts instructor, oversees the camp’s activities. SpongeBob and his buddies Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks share a cabin. Squidward Tentacles, a pessimistic camper who is a junior counsellor and is significantly older than the Other (nearly a teenager), runs their cabin. Unbeknownst to the campers, local chef Plankton conducts a hidden laboratory underneath the camp, where his computer aide Karen assists him in creating ingenious inventions to take over the world.
