What Should Every Parent Know?

Parents should be aware of (The BeatBuds: Let’s Jam)! is a fast-paced preschool musical series. It has a Scooby-Doo-style van and a California-casual attitude, but nothing in the way of character development or instructional content. The BeatBuds go across the world. (jungles, other worlds, dinosaur age) and encounter characters that join them in jamming. Then there’s a musical number, and that’s all. There’s nothing in this program that’s dangerous or damaging, but the material doesn’t actually provide value either.

Is It Worth It?

Fans of the BeatBuds may like this presentation, but there isn’t much more to it outside the promise of a musical moment.

Let’s Jam, The BeatBuds is bright, bouncy, and a lot of fun, but it misses out on developing fascinating characters and issues. Attempts to provide instructional information or increase social involvement are mediocre at best. Little kids might be interested in seeing monkeys play instruments, and the van itself is very interesting. Adults, on the other hand, may find the music uninteresting and wish there was more to the presentation.
