The Big Bang Theory actor is one of the guest stars in the upcoming Young Sheldon season 5 finale. On Thursday night, In Big Bang Theory, a familiar face will appear, which has seen a bunch of drama rock the Cooper family & moves nearer to the Big Bang Theory timeline. Young Sheldon Season 5 returned to the series’s typical 22-episode season run for the first time in 3 years due to the Covid after the comedy prequel shut down the show and finished both its seasons 3 and 4 earlier.
According to a clip released by TVLine, Teller and Penn are set to appear in the Young Sheldon Season 5 finale on Thursday’s episode. One half of the special duo, Teller, seemed on The Big Bang Theory as Amy Farrah Fowler, Larry. Teller is going to play one half of personified acne instead of returning as Larry in a flash-forward.
Sheldon gets his first pimple, and the pair of Teller and Penn acts that pimple in Sheldon’s mind. Penn presents himself as Acne Vulgaris, with Teller performing as his silent partner.
Series co-creator Steve Molaro told TVLine:
“We thought it was a fun idea to personify the pimple, so we thought about who would be right for Acne Vulgaris. When we landed on Penn, he seemed so perfect, and it’s hard not to think of Teller when you think of Penn. Once Penn agreed to do it, we circled to say, ‘How would you guys feel about doing it together, like Acne and Pus?’ They were very into it and just a delight to work with from beginning to end.”
“We were attracted to the idea that something as small and simple as a pimple could cause such psychological torment for him. It’s interesting to see the onset of puberty and touch on Sheldon’s feelings about all the problems that the adults are having around him. Now that he’s becoming an adult, is this what life has in store?“
The Young Sheldon Season 5 finale is set to release on CBS on Thursday night.
