On Tuesday, Spotify and Discord was undergoing overall technical issues, with users complaining of access problems across its website and app.

As per monitoring site DownDetector.com, user complaints about Spotify started to spike at about 1:10 p.m. ET. It wasn’t instantly clear what induced the technical issues. In the U.S., the problems noted were concentrated in Los Angeles and New York.

According to Discord, after resuming its streaming service to fix one issue, a new problem caused a failure of its API. As of about 30 minutes ago, they were still analyzing. The Spotify Status account tweeted that “we’re looking into it,” but did not offer any other information about what was going on.

That won’t make things easier if you’re trying to listen to music or quickly chat with friends, but engineers are working on the problems and hope to have both Discord and Spotify back online soon. We will update our viewers whenever more details are available.

Reps for Spotify didn’t immediately react to requests for additional details.
