Barbara Baldavin, renowned for her roles in Star Trek and Medical Center, has sadly passed away at 85.

Barbara Baldavin, best known for her contributions to Star Trek: The Original Series, bid farewell on Sunday at her Manhattan Beach residence due to congestive heart failure, confirmed by her son Marc D’Agosta.

In the iconic series, Baldavin portrayed two memorable characters. Initially, she graced the screen as Angela Martine, the phaser control officer, captivating audiences with her presence in pivotal episodes. Later, in the series finale, she returned as Lieutenant Lisa, leaving an indelible mark on the Star Trek universe.

Interestingly, it was through Star Trek that Baldavin found love, meeting her husband Joseph D’Agosta, a casting director for the series, further intertwining her life with the franchise’s legacy.

Post-Star Trek, Baldavin continued to shine, spending six years as Nurse Holmby in the 70s hit Medical Center, and gracing various television shows with her talent.

Born in Quincy, Massachusetts, Baldavin’s journey in the performing arts led her to El Camino College and the prestigious Lee Strasberg Institute.
