The 4-year-old Prince Louis stole the show as he joined his family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for the 2022 Trooping the Color in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee.
Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, all attended the Trooping the Color, dressed in matching blue outfits. Prince Louis was seen in the identical mini sailor costume that his father, Prince William, wore at Trooping in 1985 when he was two years old.

Throughout the deafening fly-past, the young Prince Louis could be seen alternatively shielding his ears with his hands, waving to the audience, and speaking with the Queen, who looked pleased by his shenanigans. Meanwhile, his mother, Kate Middleton, frequently urged him to remove his hands out of his mouth, saying, “Good boy.”
The Cambridge’s children were the youngest royals to take part in the ceremony this year, after the Queen stated last month that only working royal family members and some of their children would appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony. In previous years, the balcony has always been seen packed with extended family members.
This was only Prince Louis’s second appearance on the acclaimed balcony. In 2019, he made his debut, and his parents couldn’t stop laughing at his exuberant royal gesture.
The young Prince has taken the internet by storm and people are gushing over his cute antics.
