Melanie Lynskey and Tawny Cypress teases Yellowjackets season 2

Yellowjackets, the blockbuster mystery thriller series, has been renewed for a second season, and actors Melanie Lynskey and Tawny Cypress are eager to get back.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, both actresses teased some exciting information about the next season vaguely and confirmed that shooting for Yellowjackets season 2 will start in Vancouver in mid-August.

“The giant squid! I’m really looking forward to the giant squid. I mean -” Lynskey joked and Cypress played along with it. “I’m looking forward to when we murder the squid.”

Lynskey revealed that she it is not difficult for her to keep the specific details secret, because her husband, Jason Ritter, is a major fan of the show and prefers to not know any spoilers.

“He doesn’t want to know anything at all like! Sometimes, when we were shooting, I’d be like, ‘Ugh, so we were doing this scene where blah blah blah,’ and he’d be like, ‘Ah! Stop, stop, stop!’ He wants to just watch it.”

Tawny Cypress also praised her co-star, revealing that they both like working together.

“I love working with Melanie, I think we work really well together, so it will be really fun to do more scenes together. Hopefully we have those intimate moments where we get to break down those walls. Those are my favorite moments of season one.”

Yellowjackets season 1 is streaming on Paramount+.
