Martin Freeman discusses his rumored comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Secret Invasion, confirming his involvement in the Disney+ series.

When questioned about Samuel L. Jackson recently confirming the star’s appearance in the series in a recent interview, Freeman playfully and presumably confirmed he will return as Everett K Ross.

“Yeah – I think that’s kosher information, isn’t it? In order not to embarrass Samuel, I will say I’m not gonna say he’s got that totally wrong and he’s thinking of Sam Rockwell. So yes, I may very well be [appearing].”

Freeman’s presence in Secret Invasion was initially announced during a live Josh Horowitz stage discussion in March, during which Jackson lauded working with both Olivia Colman and the Black Panther star when addressing the series’ ensemble.

Kevin Feige recently revealing that the show will cover events both during Thanos’ Blip and after the Avengers successfully resurrected everyone, it will be intriguing to see which timeframe, if not both, Ross will appear in. Ross has been mainly missing from the MCU since the first Black Panther, and no reference has been given as to whether he survived the snap or was gone for five years.

The Disney+ series would not be the only upcoming project in which Martin Freeman will appear; he will also show up in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which will release in November.
