Hold on to your hats, people! Queen of Genovia may make a comeback. Julie Andrews was seen Thursday night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, where she got the AFI Life Achievement Award, and she discussed what it would take for her to return to The Princess Diaries realm.
When asked if she and Anne Hathaway could reunite for a third instalment in the Princess Diaries series, Julie responded.
I don’t know, I think I’m the one – she’s probably still ok for it, but I might just be a little too old a granny for it, I don’t know. It depends what the story is, and if they can come up with something, that would be wonderful, but if not, there will be other things.
Julie Andrews seems to be quite occupied with other projects, including contributing her iconic voice to the Despicable Me and Minions franchises, as well as playing the narrator as known as Lady Whistledown in Netflix’s Bridgerton.
Speaking of the Lifetime Achievement Award, which Julie Andrews was expected to receive in 2020, then again in 2021 because the American Film Institute’s dinner was postponed due to COVID-19, the actress stated she was very thankful.
It’s really just amazing. I had no idea it was this wonderful, or this detailed or this huge, and it’s just wonderful and I’m very, very grateful.
Julie Andrews is a cinematic legend who has been in a slew of films and is at the heart of cinema history. Congratulations to her!
