John Mulaney spoke on Late Night with Seth Meyers and discussed what it’s like to travel with his 6-month-old son, Malcolm, whom he shares with Olivia Munn, on his From Scratch tour.
“Malcolm is a great, great roadie.”
Mulaney stated that his son enjoys being on tour and particularly enjoyed Saratoga Springs. “He loved the Westin in Buffalo. They had one of those fake fireplaces that’s like glowing rocks. And he sat down and goes, ‘This is what I’m talking about. He was so mesmerized.”
Malcolm was born in November 2021 to Mulaney and Munn. He also discussed his first Father’s Day, joking that Malcolm surprised him with a plethora of presents for the occasion.
“I woke up, and I had breakfast with him. And his new thing is when I turn the phone on, it’s in selfie mode and I put it on video, he slowly grabs it and brings it into his mouth. So all his films have the same twist ending.”
John Mulaney’s “From Scratch” standup comedy tour has been extended to Winter 2023. As part of his North American tour, he is slated to make performances in Canadian towns such as Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Calgary. Mulaney will then perform a few of Australian shows in February 2023.
Mulaney also has a main part in Big Mouth, a Netflix-exclusive American adult animated coming-of-age sitcom in which he voices the character Andrew.
