In a powerhouse move, James Badge Dale is stepping into a significant recurring role in Apple TV+’s limited series, ‘The Savant,’ headlined and executive produced by the talented Jessica Chastain.

This eagerly awaited eight-episode series, also featuring Nnamdi Asomugha, is generating buzz as it delves into a gripping narrative inspired by a true story originally published by Cosmopolitan, penned by Andrea Stanley.

While the storyline and character specifics remain tightly under wraps, Chastain takes on the role of the Savant, a covert investigator with a mission to infiltrate online hate groups and dismantle the most violent elements in the country. Asomugha complements the cast as Chastain’s on-screen husband.

Under the executive production prowess of Chastain and Kelly Carmichael through their Freckle Films banner, ‘The Savant‘ boasts additional creative brilliance with Melissa James Gibson as writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

Matthew Heineman directs and adds his executive producer touch, while Jessica Giles, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan, steps in as an executive producer. Brian Madden, SVP Development for Hearst Magazines, takes on the role of producer, and Andrea Stanley contributes as a consultant.

James Badge Dale, recently seen as the lead in Starz’s ‘Hightown’ and in a comedic guest star role on the Emmy-winning ‘Ramy,’ elevates the series with his remarkable talent. Having wrapped two lead roles in indie features, ‘King Ivory‘ and ‘Violent Ends,’ Dale continues to make waves in the industry.

Represented by CAA, MJ Management, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman et al., Dale’s addition to the stellar cast reinforces the anticipation surrounding ‘The Savant.’ As Apple TV+ continues to be a hub for exceptional storytelling, ‘The Savant‘ seems poised to captivate audiences with its intriguing narrative and powerhouse performances.
