Officially we are a little over a month away from Naomi’s debut, a recent DC-inspired series that will air on The CW. The series will bring in a new but popular fan-favorite, created by Brian Michael Bendis, David F. Walker, and Jamal Campbell in a live-action, with the help of many co-stars. As revealed on Tuesday, we now know the latest member of the Law & Order: SVU and The Invention of Lying’s Stephanie March. According to a new report by Variety, March will be playing the recurring role of Akira, who originally is from a faraway planet and finds herself hiding on Earth while Naomi seeks her out, seeking answers.
Naomi follows a young girl’s journey from her small town in the northwest to the multiverse heights. When a supernatural event shook the city to the core, Naomi was determined to uncover her origins, and what she finds will challenge everything we believe about our heroes. When They See Us’ Ava DuVernay and Arrow writer Jill Blankenship, the television series is written and produced.

In addition to Walfall, the series will star Camila Moreno, Alexander Wraith, Cranston Johnson, Barry Watson, Mary-Charles Jones, Aidan Gemme, Mouzam Makkar, Will Meyers, and Daniel Puig.
DuVernay’s Array Filmworks, in partnership with Warner Bros Television, will be producing, and Sarah Bremner and Paul Garnes will also be present as executive producers. DeMane Davis has previously been appointed as a co-executive producer and will also direct several series episodes and oversee the directing team.
Davis said in a statement:
Growing up, I would scarf down Cap’n Crunch while watching Bugs Bunny every Saturday. I imagined a lot of things, but back then seeing him lean up against the Warner Bros. logo, I don’t think I imagined this. I’m forever grateful to [Naomi co-executive producer] Ava [DuVernay] for putting me in this rocket ship. Getting to go ‘home’ and work with her and my Array family on Naomi is a gift
