Cases of Covid reported after ‘Dancing with the Stars’ premiere


A spokesperson for Dancing with the Stars has mentioned that four members of the crew tested positive following the show’s premiers on 19th September.

The crew members worked in “completely different departments that do not have in person contact with each other, based on our pod system.”

Contact tracing was immediately conducted,” the spokesperson continued. “All close contacts were notified and put on an increased testing cadence. No close contact of the four positive production employees has since tested positive.”

They went on to say that the “entire set has been disinfected and as an extra precaution, we asked the majority of employees to work from home.”

The sets were cleared by the Department of Public Health to continue production, “based on our strict safety protocols.”

On Monday, 16 couples performed in front of a live studio audience for the judges. Jason Lewis and Peta Murgatroyd were eliminated after receiving one of the night’s lowest scores.

Dancing with the Stars will be back with another episode on Monday on Disney+ with Elvis Night.
