Andy Cohen has stepped in to clear the air regarding Mauricio Umansky’s candid revelations on Netflix’s Buying Beverly Hills and the absence of similar disclosures on Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise.

Umansky, husband to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, has been a fixture on Bravo’s reality series since its inception in 2010. However, in snippets leading up to Buying Beverly Hills Season 2’s premiere on March 22, Netflix teased moments where Umansky delves into personal and familial matters, including his rift with the Hilton family.

While some fans speculated that Cohen, as the executive producer of Real Housewives, might be miffed by Umansky’s choice to share family drama on Netflix rather than Bravo, Cohen debunked these assumptions on his SiriusXM radio show.

Buying Beverly Hills

Cohen clarified that Umansky’s narrative on Buying Beverly Hills is his own to tell, distinct from what Richards shares on Real Housewives. He emphasized that Umansky’s disclosures are part of his personal journey, not just fodder for reality TV drama.

The rift between Umansky and the Hilton family, including Paris Hilton, was previously touched upon in Real Housewives episodes, particularly affecting Richards due to strained relations with her sister, Kathy Hilton.

Cohen hinted at probing further into this family dynamic during the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 Reunion, suggesting that viewers may gain additional insight into Umansky’s split from Rick Hilton.
