All eyes are on ‘Mbappe’ ahead of France’s opening match

France’s football team will enter the ground in Qatar World Cup. Their opening match is against Australia. As the reigning champions, the team needs to ensure their victory in any case. However, France lost some of its significant players due to injury. The fans have put their trust in Kylian Mbappe.

The following information is important to know about France’s title defense. Injuries have prevented them from fielding Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kanté, the two central midfielders who started their final victory over Croatia four years ago, as well as central defender Presnel Kimpembe, a World Cup winner in Russia, back-up goalkeeper Mike Maignan, Bundesliga’s top scorer Christopher Nkunku, and, as of Saturday, 2022 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema.

France is keeping their hopes high as they have the star player Kylian Mbappe. The forward became just the second teenager to score in a championship game at the last World Cup, establishing his status as a superstar.

“He is still a young player, just a bit less than four years ago, but he already did very important things four years ago,” Deschamps told reporters in Doha. “He has the ability to be decisive at any moment, unlike many other players.”

However, it is just about time to see whether Kylian Mbappe fulfills the hopes of the whole country. France should play at their best or else it will be evident that the team cannot perform without their injured players which can be a negative sign for them.
