The Bridgerton fame star and Netflix‘s new ‘it girl’, Simone Ashley revealed in an interview with Glamour that she might not be return to Sex Education to reprise her role as Olivia Hanan.
People are already in love with Kate Sharma on Bridgerton Season 2 but many of us know her as Ruby and Anwar’s bestfriend, one-third of the Untouchables trio, bubblegum-chewing and colorfully clad, Olivio crushing our heart for three seasons on Sex Education.
It was announced that Sex Education was renewed for a fourth season by Netflix last year, with shooting slated to begin in 2022. However, while Asa Butterfield, Ncuti Gatwa, and Aimee Lou Wood are expected to return, Simone believes she may not. She says,
I think my time on [the show] has come to an end. It’s very sad because I love them all so much.

However, neither Netflix nor the Sex Education producers have indicated if Simone’s character Olivia will return in the upcoming season. But, given how Season 3 ended, it’s probable that we might get to less of some of favorite characters in Season 4.
In the finale of season 3, it was announced that Moordale High School was being closed and sold to developers. As a result, it appears that sixth-year students will have to locate other schools and universities to complete their final year. It is expected we won’t be able to see Olivia’s journey further.
We hope that showrunners at least let us know Olivia Hanan is in someplace being the icon she was destined to be. Till then, we can grace ourselves with Kate Sharma on Bridgerton.
