He takes on a similarly adrenaline-pumping role in Outside The Wire, playing an android officer. He makes an unlikely team with Damson Idris as they travel to different locations worldwide in the search for a device that can potentially destroy the planet. You can start streaming this Outside The Wire on January 15, 2021.

Rajkummar Rao, Priyanka Chopra – The White Tiger

While Rajkummar Rao and Priyanka Chopra headline this movie based on Aravind Adiga’s novel of the same name, the main story revolves around Adarsh Gourav’s character. While The White Tiger is primarily a crime drama, there’s a mix of everything with a fair share of comedic moments in addition to the typical rags to riches storyline. Releasing on January 22, 2021, it is sure to give the viewers an insight into the lives of the millions of servants employed by some of India’s wealthiest individuals.

Zendaya, John David Washington – Malcolm & Marie

Zendaya and John David Washington have become one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood today. Fresh off their roles in blockbusters like Tenet and Dune, these two now play a regular couple that’s achieved the zenith of professional success. However, that has come at the cost of their deteriorating relationship. The black-and-white drama is an intimate study of what is the true cost of putting our professional life over our personal one. Malcolm & Marie releases on February 5, 2021.

Jennifer Garner – Yes Day

While Yes Day may seem like a typical family comedy, there’s a lot more than meets the eye. Based on Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s 2009 book, it follows a couple that’s taking a routine family trip. However, the real twist comes when in order to make it a memorable trip, the parents allow the kids to make all the rules. Yes, all the rules. What follows is a barrage of shenanigans that are sure to leave you laughing and wary of ever letting your own kids make any rules. Yes Day will be available for viewership on March 21, 2021.

Dave Bautista – Army Of The Dead

Dave Bautista stars in this latest of zombie apocalypse movies. However, unlike most movies from this genre, the main cast isn’t there to fight off the zombies or rescue anyone. Bautista’s character leads a group of mercenaries in their attempt to pull off a heist during the zombie outbreak in Las Vegas. As you may have probably have guessed, the movie contains all the essential elements of both a heist and post-apocalyptic movie with its aerial shots, wave after wave of mindless zombies, lots of shooting, and of course, over-the-top gadgets meant to assist them in the heist. Army Of The Dead releases on Netflix sometime in summer 2021.

Chris Hemsworth – Escape From Spiderhead

While Chris Hemsworth may always be known as the MCU’s Thor, no one can accuse him of having a one-dimensional filmography. He stars this story based on George Saunder’s acclaimed short novel, Escape from Spiderhead. A bunch of convicts participate in a drug experiment program under the promise of having their sentences shortened. However, they soon realize they may have bitten off more than they can chew as the drug grants them superhuman powers such as teleportation, shape-shifting, and speed. Escape from Spiderhead doesn’t have an official release date but is likely to be released during fall 2021.

Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – Red Notice

Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson bring their usual swagger to this cloak-and-dagger story of an Interpol officer tracking a renowned art thief. Things get more interesting as Gal Gadot‘s character steals an artifact while successfully pinning the blame on the duo. Now, both Reynolds and Johnson must work together to clear their name and survive a string of traps laid for them by Gadot. Red Notice hasn’t provided an official release date yet.

Idris Elba – The Harder They Fall

Who says Westerns have gone out of fashion? Idris Elba stars in this revenge story based out in the wild west. With his parents murdered, Elba’s character vows vengeance, hunting their killers from town to town. This leads him to make new allies as well as new enemies. You can expect the standard western moments such as epic stand-offs, gritty dialogues, and lots of blood in The Harder They Fall. Netflix has yet to provide an official release date for this yet.

Andrew Garfield – Tick, Tick…Boom!

Tick, Tick…Boom! is bound to a classic thriller. This may seem surprising as the movie is partly a musical. It follows Andrew Garfield’s character’s attempts and struggles to get his big break. He’s an aspiring theatre composer who has composed some extraordinary musical pieces over the years. However, he has yet to receive any recognition for them. The inability to get his deserved plaudits starts messing with his head. He grows tenser and more paranoid by the hour as he attempts to compose one more piece that’ll bring him his deserved spotlight. Netflix hasn’t provided an official release date for this yet.

Leonardo di Caprio…and pretty much every other A-lister – Don’t Look Up

In case you’re wondering, no, that wasn’t a typo. Don’t Look Up is indeed starring Leonardo DiCaprio and just every other Hollywood A-lister promising to be one of the best movie releases on Netflix in 2021. This includes names like Jennifer Lawrence, Timothee Chalamet, Chris Evans, Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Tyler Perry, and Matthew Perry. The story follows two astronauts who’ve just discovered that a meteorite is headed to destroy Earth. They have mere weeks before it crashes and effectively ends all life on the planet. Despite the apocalyptic tone, the movie is a comedy as it highlights just how irksome bureaucracy can be…even when there’s an existential threat to the planet. Don’t Look Up does not have an official release date yet.
