Quick steps: How to watch shows and movies on Starz using a VPN
Select a VPN service that is optimized for streaming. We recommend ExpressVPN OR NordVPN . It has multiple plans you can choose from .
Download the VPN and connect to a US server.
Log in to your streaming platform.
Find The Serpent Queen and stream it no matter where you are.
Why is Starz restricted in Australia?
But is a VPN only for streaming?
Not at all. A reliable VPN (like the ones we recommend below) can come in handy in many other ways. Say, you’re buying air tickets for an upcoming trip. Browse the travel website after connecting to a server in a different country using a VPN service: you’ll get different rates! Bargain hunters save up to hundreds of dollars on a single trip using this method.
Or, say, you’re traveling abroad. If you connect to public Wifi networks (hotels, cafes, airports) with a strong VPN service, you’ll have the peace of mind that your personal data (banking info, emails, pictures etc.) on your device are secure.
Btw, there’s a nifty comparison of our recommended VPNs at the end of this article. [Go to VPN comparison]
What’s the plot of the series The Serpent Queen?
Catherine de Medici, the most influential woman in Europe during the 16th century, is the focus of this drama.
Catherine de Medici was one of France’s most powerful figures during her reign as queen, first as King Henry II’s wife and later as queen regent and advisor to her three sons on the throne.
She was born into the Medici family, an aristocratic family whose immense wealth yet could not buy royal blood. She was a smart, cunning woman who, although living in a patriarchal culture, found ways to accumulate and exercise enormous influence.
The Serpent Queen Review
Academy Award candidate Samantha Morton stars as the grown-up Catherine in The Serpent Queen, narrating her story in flashback to a maid named Rahima.
The queen knows that she has a reputation for poisoning her enemies and that this is the source of her delightful nickname.
However, she does offer the girl some words of wisdom. This idea that “one must learn to exploit an opponent’s flaws” is central to the first season.

Written and executive produced by Justin Haythe, The Serpent Queen is based on Leonie Frieda’s book Catherine of Medici: Renaissance Queen of France (Revolutionary Road, Red Sparrow, The Lone Ranger).
Stacie Passon (Transparent, Dickinson, Billions) acts as both director and executive producer for many episodes.
Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment produce the eight-episode series for STARZ. In a statement, Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment said, “The eight-episode series is produced for STARZ.”
