What is the Significant Other (2022) movie about?
Ruth is shown as bruised and found by strangers in the woods at the beginning of the trailer. As they bring her to the campsite and ask her about what happened to her, she couldn’t remember that.
After that there is a flashback in which she is on a trip with Harry in the woods. They discover something seemingly extra-terrestrial in a cave deep in the woods.
The sequence shows brief sneak peeks of the events she encountered during the nightmarish hike. With many creepy and strange occurrences, she gets into a blue goo which creates her doppelgänger and Harry seems to fall from a cliff.
